The meal plan Calendar: Rotation and Dates

Plan which dishes each day offers — tap tiles to set the chef’s pick, fill the gaps in one go, and check the month.

2 min read

The Calendar view of CRM › Meal plans is each plan’s menu, day by day. It has two views: Rotation, where you plan, and Dates, where you check the real dates.

The scenario

Your Office Lunch plan repeats every two weeks. Three days are still empty, and Thursday should offer the lamb as the chef’s pick with two backups.

Rotation

  1. 1Open CRM › Meal plans, the Calendar view, pick the plan and choose Rotation. Each row is a day of the loop; each column is a dish the plan serves.
  2. 2Tap a tile to change it. An empty tile becomes Other choice, tap again for Chef's pick, and again for Not offered. The first dish you add to an empty day becomes the chef’s pick straight away.
  3. 3A meal can offer up to 12 dishes — past that it says A meal can offer at most 12 dishes. Take one off first.
  4. 4Press Fill the 3 empty days. The Fill empty days dialog plans a chef’s pick and backups for every empty meal, rotating so the dish that has been away longest goes next; days you planned yourself stay as they are. Press Fill 3 meals.
  5. 5Planned a day wrong? Open its menu and choose Clear this day — Clear day empties every meal on it.

Plans with two meals

  • A plan with lunch and dinner shows each meal’s dishes as its own group of columns, each with its own chef’s pick. The meal switcher offers Both meals or one meal at a time; phones show one meal at a time.
  • A dish can be in only one meal per day — the grid tells you if it’s already in the other.

Dates, and going live

  • Dates lays the loop onto real dates — each day shows its chef’s pick and how many other choices — with This month and the arrows to move between months.
  • The Repeats every N days button sets how many serving days pass before the menu starts again from Day 1 — any number from 1 to 60, not only whole weeks (an 11-day menu over Mon–Fri lands each dish on a different weekday every time round). Shortening it warns before it removes the planned days past the new end.
  • Changes to a day also apply to the same day in every repeat. The More menu holds Repeat length, Restart the loop and Edit the plan.
  • While the footer reads Draft · members don't see this menu yet, nothing reaches members. Make it live publishes it: Live for members.
TipFill first, then fix. Fill empty days gets every day a chef’s pick in one go; tapping tiles afterwards is how you put the lamb on Thursday.
