Connecting printers
Menulisa prints to standard 80mm thermal printers — the kind used for receipts and kitchen tickets. You can connect printers over your network or by USB.
Add a printer
- 1Open Dashboard › Setup › Printing.
- 2Add a printer and give it a clear name, like ‘Front receipt’ or ‘Hot kitchen’.
- 3Choose how it connects: network (enter its IP address and port) or USB (via the Menulisa Bridge).
- 4Set the paper width, number of copies, and whether it cuts the paper or opens a cash drawer.
Three kinds of document
- Receipts — the customer’s bill, printed at the front.
- Kitchen tickets — what to cook, printed at the relevant station in the kitchen.
- Stickers — nutrition labels for dishes and day-dot labels for prep batches, printed on a label printer.
Label printers (stickers)
- Add a sticker printer the same way and set its role to Label, then enter your sticker size in millimetres.
- Nutrition stickers — turn “Print nutrition sticker” on for a dish, and every bowl gets its label as the order fires — with the numbers matching that exact bowl: the chosen size, the extras, even removed ingredients.
- Day-dot labels — producing a prep batch prints USE BY stickers with who made it, storage and the batch code (see the Inventory guide).
- No label printer? Stickers fall back to a compact print on your receipt printer, so nothing is ever skipped.
- A live sticker preview on the Setup › Printing page shows exactly what will come out — logo, Arabic and Kurdish names included.
Network printers need a fixed (static) IP address so Menulisa can always find them. Your installer or router can reserve one for each printer.
