Kitchen display

The kitchen display (KDS) shows fired tickets in real time, grouped by course, so the kitchen always knows what to cook next.

How it works

  • Tickets appear the instant a server fires an order.
  • A “Cooking” column and a “Ready” column track progress at a glance.
  • Bump a ticket when it's done; recall it if you bumped too soon.
  • Updates stream live — no refresh needed.

What's on a ticket

  • Table and course, the items with quantity, chosen variant and add-ons.
  • Removed ingredients (“NO onion”) and the line note, so the cook never guesses.
  • Voids arrive as a clearly marked VOID ticket — the kitchen knows to stop.
  • Guest-request lines are flagged, so the pass knows a guest sent them from the QR menu.

Stations

  • Route dishes to the right screen — hot, cold, bar — with kitchen stations (see Kitchen stations & routing).
  • Each station's display shows only its own items from every ticket.
Open the kitchen display on a dedicated screen at the pass. It stays in sync across every paired device in the branch.
