Kitchen stations & routing
A busy kitchen has sections — a hot line, a cold/salad station, a bar. Stations let you route each item to the right printer, so a burger prints at the grill and a mojito prints at the bar, all from one fired order.
How routing works
- 1Create a station for each kitchen section and assign it a printer.
- 2Point each menu category (with per-item overrides if needed) at a station.
- 3When a server fires an order, each line prints automatically at its station.
Why it helps
- No one shouts orders across the kitchen — the right ticket is already there.
- Drinks and food start at the same moment, so courses land together.
- Add or re-route stations any time as your kitchen changes.
Pair this with the on-screen kitchen display: tickets can print AND show on a screen, so nothing slips through if a printer runs out of paper.
