Staff & roles

Give your team access with the right level of control. Staff are scoped to a branch and carry a role that governs what they can do.

What you can do

  • Invite staff and assign a role (for example waiter or manager).
  • Scope a member to a specific branch.
  • Set a short POS PIN so staff can unlock the till and authorise sensitive actions.

What a role can control

  • Dashboard areas — grant each section separately: orders, payments, menu, marketing, reservations, customers, inventory, purchasing, scheduling, activity, analytics, reports and settings. No grant, no menu entry.
  • POS basics — POS access itself, taking orders (create / edit / cancel / unlock), and kitchen-display view.
  • Money actions — taking payments, refunds, payment history, and managing the cash drawer.
  • Discounts & comps — line discounts, whole-order discounts and comps are separate permissions, plus a maximum discount percent per role (a waiter might give 10%, a manager 100%).
  • Floor & layout — who may rearrange tables and the POS layout.
  • Hourly wage (optional, private) — powers labour-cost reporting; visible only to owners and managers with the right permission.
PIN-protected actions — voids, discounts and the cash drawer — are recorded against the staff member who authorised them. Owners always have every permission; roles only apply to staff.
