The tablet menu: install it, and make it work with no WiFi
Set up a Menulisa Menu tablet in three steps — it saves the menu and photos, so it keeps working when the connection drops.

The Menu tablet is your QR menu on a stand — same menu, same languages, no phone needed. Its whole point is that it keeps working when the WiFi doesn’t: setting it up saves the menu and its photos on the tablet.
The scenario
Four Android tablets for the terrace, where the WiFi is patchy.
Install and set up
- 1On the dashboard, open Menu › QR codes and download Menulisa Menu for Android. Copy it to the tablet and install it (Android will ask you to allow the install once).
- 2Open it and choose Sign in. Step 1, Which restaurant?: point the camera at the QR on any of your tables — it finds the restaurant and the table at once — or use Or paste the menu link. Confirm the restaurant.
- 3Step 2, Which table is this tablet on?: keep the table it found, or enter a staff POS PIN to pick one from your tables, Scan its QR or Type its code. A tablet at the door can be No table — browse only.
- 4Step 3, Saving the menu to this tablet: it saves the menu and prices, the photos, and the fonts and languages. Then press Open the menu and mount it.
- 5Guests browse. After a minute and a half of no touches it shows the Hungry? waiting screen, ready for the next guest.
When the WiFi drops
- The menu keeps showing from the copy saved on the tablet, with an Offline pill. Ordering and calling staff need the connection and come back by themselves.
- While the tablet is online it shows your live menu, so a menu edit reaches it without anyone doing anything.
The Staff sheet
- 1Press and hold the table chip at the top of the menu for 3 seconds and enter your POS PIN. (No table, or on the waiting screen? Hold the restaurant’s name instead.)
- 2The Staff sheet has Reload the menu, Save photos again (after a big change — a new season’s menu with new photos), the Table, the Guest language, Change the restaurant and Lock now. Press Done to go back; it locks itself after a few minutes.
TipNobody holds a table chip for three seconds by accident, and even then the tablet asks for a staff member’s POS PIN — a guest who finds it gets no further.
