One sauce list for forty dishes
Build an add-on group once as a shared modifier, attach it to every dish that needs it, edit it in one place.

Most add-on lists repeat: the same sauces on every grill item, the same milks on every coffee. A shared modifier is that list built once, attached to many dishes, and edited in one place forever after.
The scenario
Five sauces, forty grilled dishes. Next month you add a sixth sauce and raise the price of the truffle one.
Do it
- 1Open Menu › Items and press Shared modifiers. Create a group called Sauces with the five, each with its price.
- 2Open a grilled dish. Under Variants, add-ons & modifiers press Attach shared group and pick Sauces. The group appears with a Shared badge. Repeat for the other 39 — or select them and do it from the bulk bar.
- 3Next month: open Shared modifiers, add the sixth sauce, change the truffle price. Every one of the forty dishes updates at once.
What you’ll see
- On the QR menu and the POS, each grilled dish offers the same sauce list; the kitchen ticket prints the choice as + Truffle sauce.
- The group shows how many items use it, so you know what an edit will touch before you make it.
- A dish that needs its own recipe for a shared add-on can override it — the dialog says Overriding the shared recipe — applies to this dish only.
TipIf you find yourself typing the same three options into a second dish, stop and make them shared. The third dish is always coming.
