Turning on the AI Menu Host and teaching it your house style
Enable it, tell it how to recommend, write the greeting and the quick buttons — in every language your menu has.

The AI Menu Host is a chat inside your QR menu that answers “what’s good?”, “anything without nuts?”, “what goes with the lamb?” — from your actual menu, in the guest’s language. You decide how it behaves.
The scenario
You want it to push the seafood on Fridays, always mention the allergen list, and greet guests in a friendly, short way.
Set it up
- 1Open Menu › Design › AI host and switch on Enable the AI Menu Host.
- 2Under How it recommends, write How the host should recommend — “Suggest the seafood platter on Fridays. Always ask about allergies before recommending. Keep answers to two sentences.” This steers it in every language; it doesn’t need translating.
- 3Under What guests see, write the Proactive greeting — “Hi 👋 Want a hand picking something? Tap to ask me.” — and up to a few Quick suggestion buttons: “Something light”, “Best for sharing”, “Vegan options”. Use Editing language to write these in Arabic and Kurdish too.
- 4Under Recommended dishes, leave Automatic or hand-pick up to 12. From Reports › Menu engineering you can Push via AI Host a dish you want sold.
What you’ll see
- On the QR menu, a small chat bubble with your greeting. Guests tap a quick button or type.
- The host only talks about dishes that are actually on the menu and available — a sold-out item is never recommended.
- Menu stats counts AI host chats, so you can see whether guests use it.
TipWrite the guidance the way you’d brief a new waiter on their first night. Specific beats clever: “mention the sharing platter to groups of four or more” works; “be persuasive” does nothing.
